About Our Aspley Food Intolerance Clinic
Our Aspley clinic is in The Health Shop at Aspley Hypermarket, 59 Albany Creek Road — opposite Aldi. It is a smaller, easy-to-navigate centre, which many clients find less overwhelming than a large shopping mall, particularly when bringing young children or elderly parents along.
Consultations are with Douglas Mizzi — Clinical Nutritionist, ATMS #8079, practising since 1990. The Aspley clinic is convenient for the established family suburbs along the Albany Creek Road corridor, and it suits people who has already seen their GP, had standard tests come back clear, and are still living with bloating, reflux-type discomfort, skin irritation or low energy. Douglas’s role is to look at the whole picture — history, diet and environment — and help identify foods worth reviewing.
Serving Aspley and the Albany Creek Road corridor
Clients visit from Carseldine, Bridgeman Downs, Zillmere, Geebung, Chermside and nearby suburbs toward Albany Creek. Aspley is one of four North Brisbane clinics, together with Chermside, North Lakes and Morayfield.

Your practitioner: Douglas Mizzi
Douglas Mizzi is a Clinical Nutritionist (ATMS member #8079) who has been practising since 1990 and has completed more than 65,000 consultations. Douglas is not a medical doctor — our assessments complement, and do not replace, care from your GP or specialist.

Getting to the root cause
We are experts in helping identify potential food intolerances and triggers that can contribute to ongoing health issues. But more importantly than just identifying potential triggering events, we are experts in helping de-mystify the jigsaw puzzle that helped create these conditions in the first place with detailed personal and family history analysis. We always strive to find out why your problem developed — not just fix the end symptoms.

Aspley Clinic — Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Aspley food intolerance clinic?
+
The Aspley clinic is inside The Health Shop at Aspley Hypermarket, 59 Albany Creek Road, Aspley QLD 4034 — opposite Aldi. Appointments are by booking only. Call 0433 121 736 and ask for a 1-hour initial consultation with Douglas Mizzi, Clinical Nutritionist.
My GP tests were normal but I still feel unwell after eating. Can you help?
+
Possibly. Standard medical tests are designed to find specific diseases and may not highlight food intolerances. After medical causes have been considered by your GP, a food intolerance consultation may help identify foods and environmental substances worth reviewing. We do not diagnose medical conditions or replace your GP.
Can symptoms from a food intolerance be delayed?
+
Yes. Unlike many allergic reactions, food intolerance symptoms are often delayed — appearing hours or even a day or more after eating. That delay is one reason they can be hard to pin down with a food diary alone, and why a detailed history forms the first part of every consultation.
